If I only handle Google Drive as a file dump, I may be significantly underutilizing its potential. Your contemporary translation offers everything from a complete office suite to advanced collaboration and synchronization features with various applications.
The following tips and tricks for using Google Drive will help you do your daily work more obediently and proficiently.
1. Extract text from images
Google Drive allows you to extract text from images using its Optical Character Examination (OCR) feature. Right click on any PDF or JPEG/PNG image file and open it with Google Docs. The helpful OCR quickly converts the image to text, allowing you to copy and paste it independently.
This feature is really useful if you have a write-protected PDF file or the scanned pages of a volume. Remember to convert light resolution inscription images that contain ordinary fonts, such as Arial or Verdana.
2. Look like a professional
Google Drive has a pinpoint search feature that quickly takes you to the exact document. Whether it’s a secret word you remember or a certain date range, you’ll get intuitive results. With the helpful OCR, you can also examine text in images and PDF files.
With the new Machine Learning preamble in Google Drive, your search for the right document just got faster.
3. Chat with friends and edit documents together
Google Drive is a great way to chat with your friends and collaborate in Google Sheets, Docs, or Slides. Just send them a Gmail invite and your entire meeting will be editing the document together in no time.
There are many popular collaboration tools like WebEx and GotoMeeting, but in my opinion, this Google Drive feature completely replaces them.
4. Send emails directly from your protected email client
If you have important email addresses saved in old Google Docs, Spreadsheets, or Slides, just double-click to send an email directly. The best part is that it doesn’t limit you to Gmail. You can also easily use external email clients like Thunderbird and Outlook.
5. Track translation changes
A document can undergo many translation changes that we do not remember. However, Google Drive keeps track of changes to your translation, either 100 changes or 30 days, whichever is shorter. However, I was surprised to find intact translation changes for many of my documents dating back to 2013.

6. Create a Google Drive folder on Windows 10 PC
You can easily create a Google Drive folder on Windows 10 PC. This can be very useful for many reasons. For example, Google Drive helps you sync your Google Photos directly with the Microsoft Photos app via another app indicating “Google Takeout”.
7. Work with multiple Google Drive accounts.
Do you feel limited by the 15 GB of free storage space in Google Drive? If you have multiple Gmail accounts, you can run additional Google Drive accounts in multiple tabs in the same browser window. There is no such information on the exact number of accounts allowed, but there is some kind of “full use” policy beyond four or five accounts.
Even as minuscule, that could mean at least 60GB of free space that will help you navigate your files independently.
8. Work offline
In “Settings” you can activate a Google Drive offline translation so you can work with Sheets, Docs and Slides without the Internet. Before doing this, you must be connected to the Internet and using the Chrome browser.
Later install and turn on Google Docs Offline Chrome Extension.
9. Connect more apps
You can connect GSuite productivity apps to Google Drive from “Settings”. Whether you want a fruitful PDF background, Slack, or FormRecycler, there are hundreds of useful apps to choose from.
10. Various Tips Combined
Google Drive also allows you to print selected documents directly so anyone with this link can view them.
There are also keyboard shortcuts if you want to quickly navigate through multiple documents. It fulfills almost all the commandments. You just have to memorize one order, Shift + # , to display a full strip of the remaining keyboard shortcuts.
in summary
Today, Google Drive is more than just a file storage option. In terms of productivity and collaboration features, it’s up there with Gmail, LibreOffice, and Microsoft Office.
