A Way Out Exceeds EA Expectations With Over 2.6 Million Players

During today’s financial conference call for investors and analysts, Electronic Arts CEO Andrew Wilson gave some interesting information about the latest release of Hazelight, A Way Out.

According to Wilson, more than 2.6 million players have experienced the game between April and June.

CFO Blake Jorgensen also mentioned later on the call that sales of both physical and digital versions in the quarter exceeded expectations powered by, among other things, A Way Out (along with Battlefield 1 and FIFA Online 3).

Taking risks also gives success

In A Way Out we must cooperate with a friend to escape from jail and live a unique adventure. Being the compulsory cooperation, although facilitated with a Friend Pass, the two players will enjoy cooperatively or online a game that has been risky but successful, as we see.

A few months ago the game already had a million players, surprising EA itself and even its Director, Josef Fares. And it is that these figures already exceeded the forecast of total sales in his total life. From the looks of it, they weren’t very confident in its success but it’s finally going pretty well.

A Way Out is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Don’t miss our review to learn everything about the game, and we’ll also help you get the long-awaited platinum with our trophy guide.
