If Android has something good, it is the infinity of applications that we can get on Google Play.
Within this wide range, we can find several with the same function, one of them being the official one and the rest elaborated by other developers, the so-called third parties. Today we wanted to ask you if you are in favor of the use of official applications or if you prefer these others, which in some cases offer more or better options.
They use official applications
It is the first choice of almost all users. If you like something, you go to the official to continue doing those tasks with your smartphone. They are usually simple and work decently, ideal for most users. In addition, the issue of security is something that concerns us all, and It gives us more security to facilitate our access data to the official application.
They prefer third-party apps
It is the option most demanded by all the readers who have responded to us. They are usually more complete in terms of options and customization.
In Andro4all we have been surprised that almost all the answers refer to the same point, “How bad is the official Facebook application”. It seems that Mark Zuckerberg and his team had to put the batteries in this regard.
Another aspect that has surprised us has been that almost all of you who have responded, make reference to the different Twitter and Facebook clients, has no one thought of applications for the camera or any type of player? Sure you do, so now you can tell us something about it.
My personal opinion
In my case, I can not position myself on either side. I use both official applications and those developed by third parties. A clear example is Twitter, that having two accounts, I use the official one and the other I use “Carbon for Twitter”, which seems very complete and allows me to see the images directly, without having to do any action. For those who do not know, I leave the link below.
As a player I use the MX Player, which can handle everything it measures, even content in HD quality, I recommend it if you do not know it.
It can be said that there are few applications that I have on my terminal. Except for the odd game, I have plenty of those that the Nexus range comes from the factory. I also have to tell you, that in my previous smartphone, (a Samsung Galaxy S II) if I used alternatives to the camera app, an alternative launcher and some more that I don’t remember right now.
I also have to tell you that I have eliminated some, such as Facebook, since putting a direct access to the web on my desktop is spare, and I can use the space it occupies in other more important things.
