Last week we asked you about your reasons why you choose Android when purchasing a terminal. As I already mentioned, the Android system is the most used at the moment, and a large part of this is due to the large number of manufacturers that have opted for this software.
Today we are going to analyze your preferences regarding the main manufacturers, which one do you prefer?
HTC
It was the first to bet on Android, and since then it is one of the favorites by users.
With the HTC One, they have gotten high praise from the specialized press, but the sales have not been as good as they should.
Regarding the quality of the materials, the benchmark in recent years. But as for its update policy, yesterday we gave you bad news regarding the HTC One S, so judge yourselves.
Samsung
It was not the first, but in my opinion it is the one that has brought Android to where it is right now. The Galaxy S family has become a benchmark of the high-end range in recent years.
Its great software is a benchmark, but the insistence on using materials such as plastic seems to start to tire users.
The large number of terminals allows us to have a Samsung device suitable for our pocket, although with the Samsung Galaxy S4 it seems to me that they have passed.
Sony
His recent separation from Ericsson has served him well.
Sony has always been a classic in consumer electronics, but It did not finish emerging as a manufacturer of this class of devices.
The Xperia Z range has been one of the positive surprises of the year, thanks to a very careful design and a wise choice of materials. It is expected that the trend of how well this manufacturer is working will continue in the coming years, which can make Sony the great reference for the coming years.
LG
A pretty good progression in the last year, although it is true that it has to continue to improve if it wants to remain among the favorites of the users.
The support received from Google for the manufacture of the Google Nexus 4 was a surprise for both friends and strangers. The LG Optimus G was for many a copy of the model made for the great G, so we hope that this evolution is not a mere mirage.
In the mid and low range, its L line works really well in terms of sales, so it is not surprising that the manufacturer is well received.
As a weak point, it should be mentioned its update policy, practically non-existent.
Huawei
One of the most promising Chinese brands in recent years.
If there is a brand that can be done a hole within the big ones, without a doubt it is Huawei. Its main assets are the designs and prices it offers to users. Its weak point, undoubtedly the quality of the materials used.
My opinion
On this occasion, I am going to share my opinion with our friend Kaneda, since I share it almost completely:
I say almost, because although I consider that Samsung has been the great standard of Android in recent years, nowadays HTC and Sony “eat the toast”. The use of plastic is largely to blame.
Despite having a Google Nexus 4, I have to say that in general, I don’t like LG, and it’s not that I don’t find their devices unattractive, but because of the terrible update policy they have.
Huawei is the great hope of the Chinese market, and I think we have to wait a couple of years to be able to consider it one of the greats, although it is on a very good path.
