We sift through the announcements of the 5-year ROG press conference.
The ASUS has always put the needs of players first, and in support of this he created a special brand for them five years ago, which Republic of Gamers he got a name. Under this designation, only high-end, game-sharpened products are available, of which, now, on the occasion of the fifth birthday, the Taiwanese company presented a whole bunch.
ROG G74Sx 3D gaming notebook
The world’s first gamer notebook that offers a 3D experience without glasses has been introduced. This device is codenamed G74Sx and provides perfect 3D display with a second-generation Intel processor and a GTX560M video controller that can use 2GB of GDDR5 memory. Fast boot and program execution is provided by a hybrid hard drive spinning at 10,000 rpm. Thanks to the 17 “display, the machine boasts very large dimensions, so there was room for designers to pull out the keyboard well; thanks to this, there is enough space between the cursor keys and the numeric keys to use them comfortably.
ROG Crosshair V Formula motherboard
The new motherboard is based on the AMD 990DX chipset and the first RoG motherboard to support AM3 + processors, as well as the first existing AMD motherboard to accommodate a three-way NVIDIA SLI solution or even an AMD CrossFireX solution at the same time. Easy configuration is provided by the UEFI BIOS, and RoG devices for overclocking are also standard on this motherboard. Neighbor-torturing volume is provided by a SupremeFX X-Fi 2 sound chip, and online connectivity is provided by an Ethernet system with GameFirst technology.
And the real plus is yet to come: the motherboard comes with a ThunderBolt combo expansion card capable of audio and LAN connectivity. ASUS XONAR technology delivers even more sophisticated sound than the integrated sound chip, and the Bigfoot Networks Killer E2100 network platform ensures perfect and lag-free online gaming, with Advanced Stream Detect technology prioritizing signals, ensuring constant bandwidth required during gameplay.
ROG MATRIX GTX 580
Designed to embody the dream of tuners, the new GTX580 card comes with ASUS 19-phase Super Alloy Power technology, giving tuners plenty of space while keeping consumption and component wear in check. Cooling is provided by an ASUS DirectCU II technology heat pipe system with two muffled fans.
ROG CG8565 Gaming System
The company also comes up with a complete configuration, codenamed CG8565. From the outside, the machinery most closely resembles a stealth bomber, but inside, a real power plant rumbles. A second-generation Intel i7 processor is at the heart of the machine, coupled with a Z68 chipset and a GTX590 GPU. With the help of the “Level Up” button built directly into the housing, an immediate increase in speed can be achieved. Exclusive ASUS DIGI + VRM technology and a state-of-the-art cooling system ensure that your machine stays cool even when you’re pushing its limits.
ROG Vulcan ANC Headset
For the completeness of the experience, only one professional headset is missing, of which, not surprisingly, we also find one among the ROG products. This would be the Vulcan ANC, which uses the active noise filtering system we have already presented. It can be ideal for large multiplayer events, or when the use of a speaker is not intact.
