Beyond Good & Evil 2 is still in development and will arrive for next-gen
Game director Michel Ancel announced that Beyond Good & Evil 2 is still in development and will arrive for next-gen consoles. The discussion about the game was initiated during the final episode of the second season of the Devs Play program, hosted by Tim Schafer and Greg Rice of Double Fine Productions.
As the title of the program implies, in each episode there are several game developers who have become classics, and during the game sessions the same developers tell the joys and difficulties of the long development process of the title. In this episode the three developers played the first and unforgettable Beyond Good & Evil.
Ancel stated that Beyond Good & Evil 2 is still in development, however it is a difficult title to develop, as there is the risk of disappointing the expectations created with the first chapter, which is why it would be easier to deal with different titles, without the worry about having to create equivalent games.
Ancel also revealed that despite the first announcement of 2008, Beyond Good & Evil 2 was already in pre-production since 2007. The latest confirmation of the continuation of the development of the game was from Ubisoft in 2014 which, after announcing the arrival of Beyond Good & Evil 2 on next-gen consoles and PC, has no longer provided any updates in this regard.
Waiting for a release date for Beyond Good & Evil 2, we leave you the latest trailer of 2009.
