Closed Nightmare: FMV horror game promises a lot of scares, check out the trailer
It seems that the industry is ready to revitalize the good old FMV games. We’ve experienced some good representatives of the genre recently — like The Bunker and the remastered version of night trap — and now a new game of the style is presented, and it looks promising: know it now Closed Nightmare!
Closed Nightmare it mixes the first-person view with the whole visual filmed with real actors to present us a kind of interactive horror film with hints of sci fi and an atmosphere of conspiracy beyond sinister.
The game’s plot revolves around Maria Joudai, girl who wakes up in a strange place with her brain totally blank, out of memory. to make matters worse, your left arm is paralyzed.
When a nearby phone rings and Mary She answers, hears a child’s voice saying she’s part of a mysterious experiment, and if she wants to get out of there alive (and maybe get some answers), she’ll have to “play the game” and get on with the experiment.
Check out the game trailer below, and be sure to check out the ending, when a sinister figure gives the air of grace:
The downside is that (for now) the game is only confirmed for release in Japan. We still don’t know when (or if) it will be released in the West at some point.
Anyway, his release date over there is July, 19, with versions for Playstation 4 and Nintendo Switch. Let’s hope that some company is interested in bringing the game to these sides.
