DeadLight: beautiful game will mix puzzles, horror and 2D platform
Good news for owners of a Xbox 360. THE Tequila Works is working on deadlight, an exclusive game for the Xbox 360 that must mix puzzle, platform and horror, all in jaw-dropping 2.5D environments. Learn more about this mixture below.
Following the wave of catastrophe and survival that is so fashionable in the gaming world, deadlight it will take place in the United States, but in an alternative past, where some major pandemic has decimated the population.
But unlike larger productions of the genre – like I Am Alive and The Last of Us – deadlight will be a 2.5D platform game, in a style that reminds a little of the seen or established games like Shadow Complex and Limbo.
The game’s trailer, however, doesn’t show any of this 2D style, but features the protagonist, Randall Wayne, in a beautiful CG scene, check out:
Despite the sinister and apocalyptic air, deadlight should be a game more focused on puzzles, not horror.
The 2.5D style is evident in the first images, which you check out below. It’s interesting to note that even being a 2D game, the quality (and depth) of the scenes is amazing:
deadlight should be released later this year, directly via Xbox Live, with guaranteed distribution by Microsoft Studios. The game will be exclusive to Xbox 360.
