Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker is selling more than excellent in Japan. In total, more than 400,000 units of the role playing game were sold at the time of the game’s introduction. The game was released in Japan on December 28 and is therefore a huge success. Of course, Nintendo’s large handheld market share in the country will certainly play a big role as well. Whether the game also sells well in Europe remains to be seen.

The game will take place on a large island where the various monsters roam freely and are ready to be captured. The island has a variety of beaches, mountains, caves and different cities. If you want to capture monsters you encounter, you will first have to weaken them and when you take them out, the monsters you fight will earn experience points. Fighting happens as usual in turn-based RPGs with a menu where you can select different options.
