Google App – “Clear last 15 min” search history – now Android too

In May of last year, Google announced that it would make the “quick delete in Google search” available. It was then available from July 2021, but only on iOS, Android will come later. Now the time seems to have come.

Google App – Clearing the last 15 minutes of your search history is coming to Android after iOS

According to The Verge, the ability to clear the last 15 minutes of your search history is rolling out to Android starting soon. According to Google spokesman Ned Adriance, the function will be available to all Android users “in the next few weeks”.

The innovation was discovered after a tip by Mishaal Rahman.

At Google I/O 2021, Google announced it’d roll out an option to delete the last 15 minutes of your search history. This rolled out on iOS in July 2021 but was said to come to Android later. Well, it appears to now be rolling out!

To clear the last 15 minutes of your search history, tap your profile picture in the Google app, then tap Clear Last 15 Minutes just below the Search History option.

So far, the deletion of the last 15 minutes is not available for me. But almost a year after the announcement, don’t expect a quick fix from Google.
