The Google Assistant can reach a lot of information on your phone. This is why it is usually inaccessible when your phone is locked; you don’t want others to use it to get at your sensitive data. However, with the fresh update of the app, you can now reach the Google Assistant even if your phone is locked. Depending on how often you use it, it can save your productivity time. Let’s see how to set up and reach Google Assistant when your phone is locked.
Set up Google Assistant
With the 12.24 interpretation of the app, you can charge the new standalone isolation screen setting for Google Assistant. Previously, you configured this feature in the Personalization menu accessible in Settings.
With the interpretation updated, go to “Popular Settings” and “All Settings”. Other features you can see are languages, screen isolation, and voice matching. Go to the customization toggle and make sure “Personal Results” and “Personal Results Isolation Screen” are turned on.
When you are done with the setup, make sure that Google Assistant supports the language selected for your phone.
Set your voice
After you set up Google Assistant, you will receive an SMS notification giving you the option to get hands-free donation from the assistant the moment your phone is turned off. Also, a notification is displayed to complete the configuration by turning it off.
There’s also a message asking if you want help handling important day-to-day information, like communicating with people you know through text messages or calls.
Next, you will be prompted to enable “Voice Match” in the Settings menu. After that, you’ll be prompted to say “OK Google” for Google Assistant to recognize your voice.
Click on “Yes, I’m there”, which will be displayed at the bottom right of the screen. You’ll then get a menu showing Google Assistant responses on the isolation screen and a submenu. When you click assistant responses on the isolation screen, it will allow Google Assistant to replicate, even if the isolation screen is on.
The submenu, on the other hand, allows the activation of personalized results without voice command. From there, whenever you need to activate the apparent assistant, say “Ok Google” followed by your prompt.
Problems that may arise
In spite of this process to crack your Android phone, some issues may come up without unlocking the isolation screen. When you have set an unlock security on your phone, such as Face ID, PIN, Pattern, etc., this feature may not be able to override this security screen. When this happens, use whatever security method you have.

Removing your security method is not recommended. In your area, you can set a timer that allows your phone to stay on for a period of time before it locks. This will ensure that your phone will take some time before it needs a security unlock to activate; therefore, it allows you to use the Google Assistant.
