Huawei P8 VS Huawei P8 Lite

CAMERA:

LThe P8’s camera is 13 megapixel with dual LED flash and optical image stabilizer. Huawei P8 Lite has a 13MP camera with Flash Led! So the sensor is always 13 MP, but we lose on the Lite version the double led flash and optical image stabilizer!

The sensor mounted is very good on both, but we must recognize that on the P8 the photo quality has been improved compared to the previous model and is also superior to the P8 Lite. In fact, the photos are good both day and night, thanks to the excellent dual LED Flash, good software, Huawei’s classic, discreet shutter speed. Videos are recorded very well in Full HD and the secondary camera is from 8 MP for interesting selfies and videos – calls. Furthermore, the novelty introduced by Huawei on this model should not be underestimated, in fact the Chinese house has introduced a new RGBW sensor, instead of the usual RGBG, with one of the pixels that simply deals with managing the brightness.

Discreet quality of the P8 Lite which defends itself very well, the software is similar to the P8 and in high brightness the photos are excellent, with very good macros, at night even the quality remains satisfactory.

MULTIMEDIA:

The GPS is doing well on both, we did not have any kind of particular problem in the connection to the satellites. The speaker has good power on both devices, in fact, in addition to being correct the position in which it is placed, the P8 manages to have a slight advantage in quality, no more! No problems encountered regarding the reception of devices for calls, 4G or WiFi. As a game we tried GT Racing 2 and the P8 and P8 Lite performed great.

HARDWARE & PERFORMANCE:

Huawei P8 mount the processor Huawei HiSilicon Kirin 930 Octa-Core at 2.0GHz with 3GB of Ram and the internal memory is 16 GB, but there is also the expansion slot via micro SD! Huawei P8 Lite mount the processor Huawei HiSilicon Kirin 620 1.2 GHz Octa Core with 2 GB of Ram and the internal memory is 16 GB, but there is also the expansion slot via micro SD! A really interesting hardware sector on both devices, it is normal that we have more power on the P8, that’s right, but we find in the tests that the P8 Lite also behaves very well, even under stress and guarantees a decent general speed; on AnTuTu we reach almost 35,000 points on the Lite version, a good result! On the P8 and always on AnTuTu we reach over 44,000 points, a great result! Finally, they complement the hardware the ability to read USB sticks (only on the P8) and the presence of the notification LED (on both)!

SOFTWARE:

Huawei P8 Lite and P8 mountain Android 5.0.2 + Emotion UI v3.1, practically we find almost all the features on both products (removed the possibility of making screenshots with the knuckles on the P8 and little else)! In fact, there is the interesting possibility of managing the permissions of the various apps; Themes app, the ability to lock apps with passwords thanks to the Management app, use the phone with one hand and then some other app entered by Huawei. Through the pre-installed Phone Manager software, however, we can also use other tools, such as cleaning unused files, checking the energy and data consumption of each individual app and even carrying out an antivirus scan. The only thing that is not very convincing is that the software (Chinese style) has many options that could be confusing to the less experienced; also we advise you to install the Swiftkey keyboard, which works much better than the Huawei one. On the web the phone does well, although in general and on heavy sites it is not lightning fast, the speed is more than good.

SCREEN:

The Display of the Huawei P8 is 5.2 ″ diagonal IPS NEO Full HD! The Display of the Huawei P8 Lite is a 5 ″ diagonal IPS with HD resolution 1280 x 720 pixels and 294 PPI! Starting from the concept that we find a panel with a more than good definition on both devices, the P8 has something more regarding the display, in fact we find the IPS NEO display made with a constructive procedure that guarantees better viewing angles and you can see the difference with the P8 Lite. That said, the brightness is good on both, there are the gestures with the screen off, we find good visibility in the sunlight, the screens respond perfectly to our touches and we must recognize that we are satisfied with the displays, the P8 is better, as is normal. that is!

Huawei P8 VS Huawei P8 Lite

DESIGN:

The P8 is really well built by the company, as well as the P8 Lite, in fact we find a fantastic design on both; the P8 is made entirely of metal and of excellent workmanship, probably one of the most beautiful phones for aesthetics, the P8 Lite loses the metal in favor of plastic, but it is perfectly assembled and still has excellent finishes. Smartphones are also light and thin. Finally, on both we find the possibility to expand the memory, but the battery is not removable! Huawei P8 size: 144.9 mm x 72.1 mm x 6.4 mm – weight 144g! Huawei P8 Lite measures 143 x 70.6 x 7.7 mm – 131 g of Weight!

AUTONOMY:

The battery mounted on the P8 is from 2680mAh, for the Lite version we find a battery from 2200mAh and during our tests we managed to get to dinner with both of them without problems, nothing more, they both do not have a sensational autonomy!
