Numerous existing Honor backgrounds can be selected under the start screen and background. The number of steps can also be shown on the display. You can use the Display option to change the screen resolution or adjust the colors. With the Battery category, you have the option of optimizing battery usage. You can put the smartphone in performance mode, power saving or ultra power saving. App starts and background execution can also be managed. With Digital Balance, you can manage your screen time. In the additional settings you have the option to allow HiSuite HDB to connect your smartphone with HDB to the PC without using the USB debugging mode. With the intelligent support, you receive the familiar accessibility aids such as TalkBack, reading aloud or text-to-speech. HiTouch is also available, a kind of visual shopping like with Google Lens. One-handed operation can also be activated here by reducing the screen view or moving the keyboard.

There is also gesture control with motion controls and ankle controls. This means that you can take screenshots or activate apps by tapping on the display. You can also split the screen by drawing a line on the display with your ankle. The gesture / ankle control works without any problems.

Honor View 20 – sound

The sound and the understanding when telephoning were without any abnormalities. The call quality is normal and good.

Honor View 20 camera

The Honor View 20 comes with a remarkable dual main camera with a 48 MP sensor (Sony IMX586) and a second 3D sensor especially for the bokeh effect in portraits. The Sony sensor combines 4 pixels into one. By default, however, the camera is set to 12 MP images, which are better exposed by combining the pixels than with a full 48 MP. When switching to 48 MP, the more light is available, the better the images. Image noise in twilight is also low.

However, one must note: the larger the image, the sooner the memory will run out than with the standard 12 MP setting. The 48 MP can be used with and without KI (AI Ultra Clarity) and bring the user detailed and sharp photos. With Ultra Clarity, the View 20 combines several images into one in order to present you with the best possible image result. The standard photos with 12 MP are also razor-sharp in daylight and not too noisy in twilight.

With the 25 MP front camera you create your selfies, which can be improved with AI. Various light reflections can also be conjured up with hearts.

In the camera settings, for example, you can specify that a picture should be taken as soon as a smile is recognized. Audio control is also possible, which means that as soon as the word Cheese is said, a photo is taken. A recording can also be made when the smartphone detects a certain volume.

Recordings can also be made when the camera detects movement. With the AI function, the subject is highlighted by adjusting the colors.

The night mode ensures better exposure at night and the AR motif function offers various backgrounds that can be added to your photo. Some of these are accompanied by music and many other gimmicks. Perfect for the Instagram generation.

Honor View 20 battery

A 4000 mHA battery is built into the Honor View 20. This creates a very good performance of almost two days with normal use. Thanks to Quick Charge, but without QI charging, the battery is quickly recharged.
