Instagram warns third party applications to stop using “Insta” and “Gram” in their names
There are many third-party applications, for example Instapad, which use a part of the name “Instagram” to indicate their function: to be an alternative client of the application acquired by Facebook; soon, however, they will have to change their name or, in the worst case scenario, be removed from the App Store.
For some time, Instagram has been sending emails to all developers of applications connected to Instagram asking them to change their name in a reasonable amount of time or they will lose access to the API.

This email was sent to Luxogram, an internet-based Instagram client; “GRAM” is used by few applications (such as Webgram or Statigram) compared to the large number of “INSTA” variants (Instapaper, Instapad, Instacollage, Instaframe, Instafollow).
