This is an important sector, both for the Network and for the Facebook Social Network which in any case makes use of the connection to service applications, games and various sharing.

The Facebook Internet Defense Prize was awarded on Wednesday to the two researchers from Ruhr-Universität Bochum, Germany. It is Johannes Dahse and Tpohorsten Holz who received the money permit for a document that illustrates how to find flaws, bugs and other flaws that hackers could exploit. The document will be examined by the security section of Facebook. The commission had structured the award to reward funding useful technologies in the real world.

Facebook’s technical director of security said “We have decided to focus on creating more opportunities and incentives for researchers who produce inventions and innovations that protect people.”

“Our initiative – continued John Flynn – is this award that recognizes research that combines a functional prototype with a significant contribution to Internet security, in particular for the protection and defense sectors”. Flynn was a member of the awards committee in which USENIX also collaborated for Security in Southern California. More articles on Facebook.
