Knockout City Cross-Play Beta Begins April 2, New Gameplay Trailer Revealed During Sony’s State of Play


Players got to see more of the dynamic multiplayer dodgeball battles from EA’s and Velan’s Knockout City during Sony’s State of Play event. In addition to a brand new gameplay trailer, the date for the cross-play beta has also been revealed.

The team at Velan Studios has revealed that players will have the chance to play Knockout City during the cross-play beta of the game between April 2-4. It offers support for many different platforms: the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC via Origin and Steam, PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X|S. In this beta, players can enjoy everything included in the first beta, including new gameplay elements such as the Back Alley Brawl map, the Sniper Ball, epic customization options and the 1:1 Face-Off playlist.

In the new gameplay trailer, you’ll see not only the new gameplay features from the cross-play beta, but also the ingredients that set Knockout City apart from other multiplayer experiences: positioning, timing and teamwork. Following are a few highlights:

Knockout City will be released on May 21, 2021 with a free limited-time trial for the full game on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC via Origin and Steam. The game is backwards compatible on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The trial version gives players the opportunity to try the game out before purchasing it for $19.99. All progress is taken into account. Players who own the game will have access to free new content every season, including maps, modes, balls and more.
