Yesterday, Ubisoft announced that it will present a new installment of the Far Cry series at the The Game Awards 2018 ceremony tonight. There are still a few hours to the ceremony, but thanks to the French website JeuxVide, we have already learned the title of the game and its cover. Not much, but the material is very telling.

The cover of Far Cry: New Dawn features two black young ladies and one guy who would rather not be replaced. The area from the graphics, and especially the church located on it, resemble the neighborhood from Hope County, towns from Far Cry 5. It is very likely that Far Cry: New Dawn will use the same map on which the action took place in the previous part of the series. Ubisoft made a similar move by releasing Far Cry Primal, then copying the map from Far Cry 4.

The first trailer released yesterday suggests that the action of the new Far Cry will take place in a post-apocalyptic reality (see). Men probably won’t have it easy.
