How important is the role of leader in a battle or between two battles?

At the end of October, the next Marvel superhero game, the Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. Recently, comic book heroes have become a popular topic again among developers, as evidenced by the release of Spider-Man or last year’s Marvel’s Avengers. Next time, we can hide in the skin of Space Lord and Mordal in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, which also received two new previews.

The two videos have two things in common. In both, the role of the leader within the team is the topic, and in both, senior gameplay director Patrick Fortier talks about the game. What sets them apart is that one video focuses on roles within combat, while the other focuses on situations outside of action.

As is well known, the guardians of the galaxy are all quite unique figures whose personalities could not be more different. This is also evident during the fight, as everyone has a different role on the battlefield. Mordály is present as a technician and Drax as a tank. Groot plays the role of support and medic, and Gamora acts as an assassin, while the Astronaut fights as a kind of leader. The leader of the team has a responsibility beyond the fights, as he decides on the style of the negotiations, the way the skill points are distributed and the like.

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is facing a big challenge as the latest very similar game, Marvel’s Avengers, has failed fans in many ways. How much more successful Mengaly and his companions can be in Avengers will be known after October 26th.
