Last week we had new information about the technical improvements that will be present in Mass Effect: Legendary Edition. And as promised, a new trailer has been released showing the graphical improvements the trilogy will receive in the collection.

The new trailer shows the side-by-side comparisons between the original games and their improved versions, showing that the remastering work on the series really made everything much more beautiful and detailed, without deviating from the original look. Check it out:

Something very impressive revealed by the Bioware is that all the textures of the entire trilogy were recreated, one by one. It assumes, everything from skin texture, scales, metal, plastic, armor, plants, objects, scenery elements, etc. were recreated using current techniques.

Not to mention the 4K resolution, lighting and shadows, colors and so on. Some animations, such as the Mako vehicle and particles, were recreated to be more fluid and realistic. All three games went through this transformation, keeping what fans of the series already know, but making it more current.

Mass Effect: Legendary Edition will be released on the day May 14th with versions for PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox one, featuring compatibility and other improvements for the Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X.
