NBA 2K22 Unveils New Gameplay Innovations

2K today unveiled an in-depth look at the gameplay updates for NBA 2K22detailing an ambitious list of features including faster gameplay, tighter and more responsive moves, more skill-based attacks, changes to the player builder, and much more.

“From the beginning, our goal has been to create fun and competitive gameplay that ensures that NBA 2K22 delivers one of the most authentic sports gaming experiences out there,” said Mike Wang, Gameplay Director at Visual Concepts. “This year, in partnership with our community, we’ve used direct feedback to address some of the key changes they’re looking for and deliver some new gameplay improvements that enhance the in-game experience of this year. years will continue to elevate.”

NBA 2K22 introduces a variety of new gameplay innovations, including:

• Defense and Defensive AI: Completely revamped shot thwarting and blocking systems, a major update to basic defense rotations and much more;

NBA 2K22 puts more emphasis on Shot IQ, meaning the teams that work for open chances and take smart shots will be much more successful than the teams that force bad shots;

• Finish off: In addition to a focus on creating more ring-finishing skills, players can also fully customize their dunk repertoire with a brand new Dunk Style Creator;

• Builds, Badges & Takeover: Adjustments to create more balanced builds, and an increase in the total number of badges to 80, offer players many ways to influence the game.
