NEW iPhone X battery capacity unveiled

The famous site iFixit disassembles the new iPhone X, revealing how much capacity the new battery has, and much more.

iFixit has completed disassembled the new iPhone X, giving us a very in-depth view of what’s inside, including its new TrueDepth camera system for Face ID, stacked logic board, new two-cell shaped battery L-shaped, and the Qi inductive charging coil.

Like all other models from iPhone 7 Plus onwards, iPhone X is a side-opening device: a single bracket covers all connectors on the logic board. The miniature logic board design is incredibly space efficient, with an unprecedented density of connectors and components. It is about 30% less than what we find on the current iPhone 8 Plus.

The extra space available inside, allows the arrival of a new two-cell battery, which form a literal L. Its capacity is 2,716 mAh, which is slightly larger than the battery available on the iPhone 8 Plus, which has a capacity of 2,675 mAh.

In finding all the most coveted innovations, iFixit has also dismantled the new TrueDepth camera system, which allow the operation of Face ID and Animoji.

Other components of this iPhone X include the new A11 Aion Bionic chip customized by Apple, 3GB of LPDDR4x RAM from SK Hynix, 64GB of flash storage provided by Toshiba, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X16 LTE modem, and a Cirrus Logic audio amplifier.
