New Sony Xperia 1 III: what we know

A leak reveals new data on the Sony’s premium phone . The prestigious laker OnLeaks has released design details and specifications of the Xperia 1 III . It’s not just another Sony terminal. This is Japan’s offer to compete with high-end phones like iPhone 12 Pro and the Samsung Galaxy S21 + .

The Xperia 1 III will have a glass rear panel and a flat-edged metal frame . The measures, a little reduced, are height 16.16 cm, width 6.73 cm and thickness 0.84 cm. One of the most important features of this Sony terminal is its 6.5 inch OLED HDR screen . It has a 21: 9 aspect ratio. The lines of the design are inherited, but with thinner bezels.

The photo module has three main cameras with ZEISS T technology and ToF sensor. Despite having a triple lens, the Xperia 1 III has a telephoto lens that can improve zoom.

Surprisingly Sony has decided to keep the 3.5mm headphone jack and it also provided the device with a MicroSDXC slot, a fingerprint reader on the power button, and two front speakers.

Price and availability

Sony may announce the Xperia 1 III at the end of the first quarter of the year, which is between February or March. The other option is for it to be unveiled around June.

As for the price there are no details, but if we consider that the Xperia 1 II was launched at a price of $ 1,199 everything indicates that the cost could be similar.
