New Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong Trailer Revealed

During the PC Gaming Show, NACON and Bordeaux-based studio Big Bad Wolf unveiled a new trailer for Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong, the story-driven RPG based on the famous role-playing game franchise. The video introduces an afflicted young woman named Leysha, one of the three playable characters.

Leysha is a Malkavian, one of the primordial tribes of the Camarilla, and appears as a young woman about 30 years old. Beneath her pale skin and pupils of varying sizes lurks an incurable pain and mental instability that afflicts all Malkavians after the Embrace, or the bite of a vampire, a creature doomed to always hide among humans.

In the video, we see Leysha playing with her child, Halsey. But this peaceful situation soon turns into a nightmare, prompting doubts: is this really real?

To hide herself, Leysha uses Obfuscate, one of the many vampire powers available in the game. As a story-driven RPG, Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong offers unique gameplay mechanics. Players are challenged to solve conflicts and mysteries, which are rewarded with experience points. Those experience points allow characters to level up for increasingly stronger special abilities.
