One of the news that we know this Tuesday from the Mobile World Congress held in Barcelona is the addition of two more smartphones to the list of Nokia phones that will receive the latest version of Android 9 Pie. The lucky ones have been the models of Nokia 3.1 Plus and Nokia 6 TA-1000 that will be able to receive the update from today.

After receiving the latest version of the Android operating system in the Nokia 2.1 and Nokia 8 models (among others), HMD Global, the company that owns the firm, has already released the Android 9 Pie update for the Nokia 3.1 Plus and Nokia 6 TA-1000 models. With this advance, the company is getting closer and closer to offering the upgrade to almost all of its smart models.

At the moment, the exact size that the operating system update will occupy in the 3.1 Plus. However, official sources have confirmed that it already includes the security patch that was released during the month of February. Users who update can thus enjoy settings menu improvements, in the notifications and in the navigation of the system.

This update comes to said Nokia model a month later than expected. Since January, other models of the company have already been doing it, such as the Nokia 6, the Nokia 8, the Nokia 5 and the Nokia Sirocco.

Another of the models that will receive it and that we have just met is the Nokia 6 TA-1000. In it, the update will occupy a little less than 2GB and also includes the security patch that Android launched in February. With this new version, users can now enjoy new features such as the inclusion of an adaptive battery, more adaptable and optimized brightness levels, and predictive actions, among others.

The news of the update to the 3.1 Plus model has come during MWC19 from Juho Sarvikas, the firm’s product manager. He has done so through a tweet, in which he announced the arrival of this latest version of Android to said terminal.

The company can continue thus scoring so many against other companies against which it competes, after having implemented the update even in some of its low-end models such as the Nokia 2.1.

How to update my Nokia to Android Pie?

If you are one of the users who owns any of the models that we mentioned above, it is possible that from today you can access the latest version of Android. This launch is not immediate, so, it might take a few days to reach your phone. In any case, you can always check if you have an update available on your settings application. There, go to About phone and then to Software updates. If you don’t have it yet, you just have to be patient and wait.
