Omerta – City of Gangsters announcement and pictures
The developer of Tropico 4 is working on a gangster tactical game.
Kalypso Media and Haemimont Games are working together on Omerta – City of Gangsters tactical game, of which now some pictures have been received. The story takes place in the 1920s around Atlantic City, and its protagonist is a newly arrived immigrant we manage who wants to make a name for himself. For this, however, we will need money, which we can obtain by doing various legal and less legal jobs, from simple shoe polishing to bank robbery. The police will, of course, be on our trail all the way, who we can either pay off or gain the respect of the public by opening canteens and similar institutions throughout the city. The gameplay will consist of two parts: on the one hand, we need to build and manage our criminal organization in real time, and on the other hand, we have to end up in rounds with our enemies. Hedges will play an important role in battles, but we will have the opportunity to sneak quietly behind our enemy and end it quietly.
Based on the details and images released so far, Omerta – City of Gangsters, which is scheduled to be released this fall for PC and Xbox 360, looks like an interesting game.
