Owners of older iOS devices are being contacted for compensation due to Apple’s lack of support

Do you have an older iOS device in your possession? You are Americans? Has Apple refused to enforce the AppleCare warranty by offering you free liquid damage assistance? You have all the credentials to get a refund!

Indeed, now it is a bit late to be replaced, for example an iPhone 3G, it is still better late than never. Apple agreed to pay $ 53 million for a class action action that consumers had filed earlier this year. All those who have been denied assistance due to malfunctions of the device due to liquids, can therefore obtain a refund and Apple is already sending confirmation emails.

The devices included in the list are: iPhone (2007), iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPod touch, iPod nano, iPod classic and the third generation of iPod shuffle, whose liquid contact sensors activated without the product actually coming into contact with water. Apple does not offer assistance if a device suffers damage from water or other liquids, but does compensate those whose products have never been wet yet the damage sensor has somehow activated.

To obtain a refund, you must be resident in the United States and have been denied assistance from Apple because the company claimed that “the device has come in contact with a liquid”.
