Philips already has the home lighting control widget ready, which will be available on iOS 8

Philips today tweeted a photo showing how the Philips Hue, and its attached app, for controlling home pin lights, will make an appearance with iOS 8.

As seen in the image, adding a Hue widget in the Notification Center could potentially allow users to directly access, with a simple switch off, a selection of light scenes to edit.

Currently, Philips Hue, which includes various bulbs and lights, is controlled through the Philips Hue application, and through various third-party applications. ThereAccessing the Hue controls within the Notification Center would make it much easier for users to turn off the lights or change the color of the bulbs, as it would not require an app to work.

How many other applications will use the Widget? We will find out in these months of waiting!
