PS5 doesn’t get optical audio out

The PlayStation 5 will not get an optical audio out port like the PS4 and PS4 Pro. Sony, like Microsoft, has decided not to add the port to the console. Via the VG247 we read the confirmation of the lack of the interface. Manufacturer Astro would have made the disclosure at the presentation of some headsets. For example, Astro will noder offer another HDMI-to-optical splitter for the PS5. This splits the audio signal with the HDMI signal while everything is still offered via 4K. Optical out has not been supported by many companies for years. However, Sony has never announced that they will not make the port available with their new console.
