Record new sales for Apple TV in the last quarter!
During the Q2 2014 earnings conference, Tim Cook highlighted the importance of Apple TV, a billion-dollar market, so not just a hobby for Apple.
Apple CEO Tim Cook announced that the company sold 20 million Apple TVs during the second quarter of 2014, an unusual number for Apple, as these numbers are usually made with other devices. Cook also dedicated a few words to the new Amazon device, very similar to Apple TV, but Apple does not seem at all worried by the possible competition.
It is not yet known whether a new version of Apple TV will be released during 2014, but what appears to be certain is that the device is an essential part of the company’s product line.
