Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City shows off horror in new trailer
With just a few weeks to go until the launch of Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City in American cinemas, the Sony Pictures released a new trailer for the film, which shows more horror and less action.
As we well know, the Umbrella Corporation It’s not a flower to smell. The new trailer, titled “Bad dream“, makes that very clear by exploring the darkest corners of the lab to introduce us to some of the bizarre experiments that were conducted by the pharmaceutical company.
Some of the creatures the trailer shows are more like the freaks of silent Hill or The Evil Within than from resident Evil, but it’s alright. Check out the subtitled trailer below and draw your conclusions:
Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City promises to be a fresh start for the franchise in theaters, and will mix elements from the first two games in the series to present the mysteries of Spencer Mansion and the beginning of the outbreak that decimated raccon city.
The film was directed and written by Johannes Roberts, which promises to deliver “a more faithful adaptation of the first games” in the series.
In the cast we have Kaya Scodelario (Claire Redfield), Avan Jogia (Leon Scott Kennedy), Hannah John-Kamen (Jill Valentine), Robbie Amell (Chris Redfield), Neal McDonough (William Birkin) and Tom Hopper (Albert Wesker).
Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City will be released in the US on November 24th. The premiere in Brazilian cinemas is scheduled for the day December 2.
