Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 looks to have top-tier specs for 2021
One conspicuous teasing with the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip was that it had a slightly dated chipset, despite being priced very cheap. That was fixed for the Galaxy Z Flip 5G, but we were worried it would happen again with the Samsung Galaxy ZFlip 3. Without hijacking, we now have evidence that this upcoming phone won’t compromise on power.
A phone with the dummy number SM-F711U has been spotted on Geekbench (a benchmarking platform). It is believed to be the US reading of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3. As with all Geekbench listings, it includes a few specs, not the least of which is the Snapdragon 888 chipset.
That’s the same viso input chipset you’ll find in US models of the Samsung Galaxy S21 viso, among several other 2021 flagship phones, so it’s reassuring to see it here. Technically, it’s not the best Snapdragon chipset anymore, that’s the Snapdragon 888 Plus, but it’s in line with most of this year’s flagships.
Attached with that, the narration index likewise mentions 8GB of RAM and Android 11, with the phone achieving a single-core score of 1,015 and a multi-core score of 3,161. Those are solid results, if not the best we’ve been through, but we’re reluctant to study too much on storytelling numbers, especially pre-release ones.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3: powerful and affordable
Of course, we’d still take all this with a grain of salt, but if the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 positively has a Snapdragon 888 chipset, then that’s a very good announcement. And it is also rumored that the phone is more despised than its predecessor in the range.
The lower-tier power in the flashy Galaxy Z Flip presumably helped nurture the much more moderate price tag than the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2, so if Samsung can get the even lower price here while offering genuinely flagship specsso this could end up being the closest thing to a conventional flip phone we’ve come across so far.
We should watch for sure if Samsung pulled that off on August 11, as that’s when the company is rumored to unveil the Galaxy Z Flip 3, likely side by side with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3, Samsung Galaxy S21 FE, and Samsung Galaxy Watch. . . 4 rank.
