Samsung has tried to persuade Google to make commercials against Apple, just like the Korean company currently does
Another interesting revelation, which came out of the umpteenth Apple vs Samsung case in court, was revealed some very interesting news, which will damage Samsung.
Worried about Apple’s high popularity, Samsung tried to get Google to launch an advertising campaign against Apple, just as the Korean company is currently doing.
Samsung Telecommunications America’s then CEO Dale Sohn sent his chief marketing officer a letter quoting:
Three months before the launch of the iPhone 5, Sohn described the situation as a “tsunami”:
Sohn warned in a message dated June 5, 2012, months before the launch of the iPhone 5.
He added, referring to JK Shin, the head of Samsung’s mobile business.
Samsung was so desperate, and scared of Apple, and its iPhone, that it even wanted to team up with other companies to fight it, but incorrectly.
