Sony announces the PlayStation TV, to compete with Apple TV
Sony unveiled the PlayStation TV, an entertainment system that allows PlayStation 4 players to stream their games to any TV in their home. There is also the option to rent and buy movies, music and TV series, just like the current Apple TV does.
Features:
- Remote Play: As with PS Vita, PS TV supports remote play of PS4 and Wireless Controllers, (DUALSHOCK 3 or DUALSHOCK 4). This will allow PS4 owners, who are playing, for example in the living room, to continue playing in their bedroom, or in any other room;
- PlayStation Now: PS3 games will be available for streaming.
PS TV will be available this year in Europe, and throughout the PAL region, at the price of € 99, and in the United States and Canada, for $ 99.
