Sony denies native 4K in Detroit: Become Human
This very morning we told you about information from the IGN portal in which they claimed that Detroit: Become Human would achieve native 4K resolution on PlayStation 4 Pro.
And it is that in the published interview, lead artist Christophe Brusseaux claimed the game would go to native 4K in Sony’s superior desktop model, but Sony itself has come out to deny these features.
Detroit will have 4K… upscaled
Brusseaux’s words were that the studio’s own engine allowed them to release the game “at native 4K resolution, which is really amazing for displaying in-game visuals.”
Sony has had to deny this information, ensuring that 4K in Detroit: Become Human will be achieved using the checkboarding techniquethe same that we have seen in other games like Horizon Zero Dawn or God of War.
Despite this, the Quantic Dream game promises to become one of the most visually impressive titles of the present generation. We will be able to verify it with our own eyes from May 25.
