Sony has fixed input lag issues with the PlayStation 5 controller
Sony has solved the input lag issues of the DualSense 4 on the PS4 with the arrival of the DualSense controller for the PS5. Via the PSU we read that Reddit user dospaquetes has performed a test. This shows that the controller has virtually no input latency differences when used wirelessly or wired. According to the tester, this is good news for competitive gamers who dislike input lag from controllers on the console that function wirelessly. Low input lag on the PS4 has never been an issue for most people. However, demanding gamers found it too high, which would detract from the gaming experience, especially in multiplayer games.
These results suggest that Sony has fixed the “issue” that the DS4 had more input lag wired than wireless on PS4 for the Dualsense on PS5, but those improvements do not apply to the DS4. I say “issue” in quotes because how much you care about this will vary from person to person.
It’s definitely good news for competitive players who attend large events where a lot of players are using bluetooth at the same time, which can cause connectivity issues.
