Sony: Not everyone will be able to get a PS5 at launch
The PlayStation 5 launch is getting closer and closer. It should be clear that the pre-orders are currently sold out everywhere. Sony promises to do its best to deliver as many units as possible next month, but that not everyone will get a console. Jim Ryan makes this known via Reuters. Sony plans to ship 7.6 million units of the PS5 by March 2021, according to a quarterly meeting.
The demand from the console is very, very high. It took the console 12 hours to get the same number of pre-orders as it did in the 12 weeks at the PlayStation 4 launch in America. It indicates how popular the console is. Chances are very high that not everyone will be able to get their hands on a PS5 at launch. We are working as hard as we can to get the system into stores as much as possible.
