Sony Tablet Z3 Compact: here are the technical specifications
Sony accidentally posted a promo of its upcoming Sony Tablet Z3 Compact alongside an Android SmartWatch prior to their announcement at IFA 2014 in Berlin as you all know by now. Until now, the tablet’s specs have been shrouded in mystery.
According to the source of the information, the tablet will have an 8 “(or slightly smaller) IPS display with a resolution of 1080p with Sony’s Triluminos screen with the X-Reality image processing engine.
Under the hood, the Xperia Tablet Z3 Compact is said to feature a Snapdragon 801 MSM8974AC chipset with a quad-core CPU, 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. There is no information yet regarding the microSD card slot, and it is not even known if it will be available.
On the back, the tablet features an 8-megapixel camera with an Exmor RS sensor, presumably with an LED flash. The battery will be like its other competitors in the range: 4500-5000mAh (the LG G Pad 8.3 has a 4600mAh one) and the connectivity will include all the new technologies: LTE, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 and 802.11ac Wi-Fi.
We have a little over a week to find out if the Sony Tablet Z3 Compact will have the specs we talked about above and if it can hold its own against its rivals. What do you think this new Tablet will be good for Sony or will it prove to be a failure?
