Sony would be working on CMOS solution for the PS4 and PS5

Earlier this month, we received several reports of problems with the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 when the CMOS battery in the console died. This makes it impossible to play physical and digital games on the console. This will block the offline play of games. Sony could solve this with software and the group seems to be doing that because of all the commotion that has arisen. Through the DoesItPlay1 we read that people would have heard that Sony is working on the problem. It would be internal information that was learned. Many players would be concerned just as the PS3 and Vita Stores were going down. However, Sony backtracked on the latter. Sony has not officially confirmed that the issue will be solved by software.
