Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact: Does the Company Work on an 8-Inch Tablet?
The Japanese company is working on a Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact? Sony has been relatively uninterested in the tablet space, or at least judging by its small selection of lists on offer.
With the exception of Xperia Tablet Z2 and the Vaio Tap 11, Sony has been quite cautious with its efforts in the industry and has focused almost exclusively on large devices (10 inches and above). As it turns out, however, Sony may be working on not only an upcoming Z3 tablet, but also a Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact and to a range of products that will be more “compact” compared to the classic dimensions now reached.
The People who work on the site Techtastic have brought to light a small detail that would confirm the production of the Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact. The clue can be found in the user manual for the Sony BSC10 which would be a Bluetooth speaker with a charging dock where Sony has listed compatible devices, among which, guess who is present? Just the Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact!
We have no further information on this particular device, although we imagine Sony could fit a screen no larger than 8 inches. The only other benchmark for Sony’s Compact line is the smartphone Xperia Z1 Compact, so we can think that the new Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact retain most of the hardware features Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet, maybe with something less and with a smaller screen. We will keep you updated in the coming weeks, we hope that Sony will immediately reveal its Tablet or that at least even more interesting rumors will be heard.
