Spotify will allow us to listen to 30 minutes of music without ads if we watch a video

If I talk to you about a streaming music service, I am sure that the first word that comes to mind is, without a doubt, Spotify. This service, recently hacked, launched a new application for all users to access this service. As you know, we can access Spotify for free from our smartphone but we cannot choose the song, since access is quite limited unless you have a premium account. Today, Spotify offers us an alternative method to listen to music without advertising: watch a 15 or 30 second video in exchange for 30 minutes of ad-free music.

A quarter of Spotify users pay a subscription of around 10 euros per month to be able to access the premium version of this application, although we will show you a trick to have all these functions if your phone is rooted. This will do if we are one of those 30 million users who prefer to listen to ads after each songbut if we don’t want to pay and we want to listen to music without advertising, this new way can be very useful.

This new functionality would be released later this year and it would consist of full-screen videos in both the mobile version and the desktop version. The main advertisers would be, in principle, Coca-Cola, Ford, McDonalds and Universal Pictures, so we can get an idea of the ads that we will see in the coming months in the United States and the United Kingdom, among others, although it will reach the whole world from 2015.

For those of you who are interested in this music service, you will surely be interested to know that the application, both for desktop and for our Android terminals and devices, can be downloaded totally free on Google Play and on the Spotify website, so if you’re looking for a free streaming music service, Spotify, albeit in a limited way, can be a very, very interesting option.

What do you think of this new service? Does it seem correct to you?
