The Walking Dead of Overkill and Starbreeze is postponed

The Walking Dead, the shooter dedicated to the homonymous TV series and in development at the Overkill studios, was postponed to an unspecified date in the second half of 2017. The news comes directly from Starbreeze Studios, owners of the aforementioned software house, in a press release announcing the entry into the scene of Smilegate, a Korean publisher specializing in FPS, which invested in the company by buying a share of 40 million dollars.

The agreement will also allow Starbreeze to distribute its titles in Asia, all at the same time as the rest of the world. At present, the works almost entirely fall on the development of the western version of CrossFire, a multiplayer shooter already known in Asian territory and obviously owned by Smilegate.

To raise the unhappy spirits of those waiting for The Walking Dead for 2016, the company stated that thanks to this investment and the increased development time allowed, the game will offer more content. All this would have been impossible without the sum paid by the Korean manufacturer. We remind you that the game will be released on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
