In early 2019, Vivo launched its IQOO sub-brand focused on the world of games. His first phone came in March of that year and many more models have followed since then. The last one, the IQOO 7, belonged to its top range and was announced a couple of months ago.

Now it was his turn to renovate its mid-high range And it did so with the IQOO Neo 5, which, among other features, includes the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor, a refresh rate of 120 Hz and support for fast charging of 66 W. Let’s see the rest of the features.

State-of-the-art display, power and connectivity

The first thing that stands out about the vivo iQOO Neo5 is its 6.62-inch AMOLED screen with FullHD + resolution, HDR10 + certification, and a maximum brightness of 1300 nits. Additionally, it boasts a refresh rate of 120Hz, a 1,000 Hz tactile sampling rate and a use of 91.45% of the front.

Inside, along with the new Snapdragon 870 processor, we find two options for LPDDR4x RAM (8 and 12 GB) and two more for UFS 3.1 storage (128 and 256 GB). As an operating system, it comes with OriginOS based on Android 11 and, to power itself, has a 4400mAh battery that is compatible with 66W fast charging.

In the photographic section we have a 16 megapixel front camera and a rear camera consisting of: a 48 megapixel Sony IMX598 main sensor, a 13 megapixel wide angle and a 2 megapixel monochrome sensor.

And when it comes to connectivity, it offers 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, and a USB-C port. Finally, highlight his liquid cooling system for heat dissipation in case of overheating while gaming.

Versions and prices of the IQOO Neo 5

The iQOO Neo 5 was announced for sale in China and there will go on sale on March 22, although it can be booked from today. It is available in three different colors (Pixel Orange, Night Shadow Black and Cloud Shadow Blue) and in three memory-dependent configurations:

  • iQOO Neo 5 8GB / 128GB: 2,499 yuan (about 323 euros to change)

  • iQOO Neo 5 8GB / 256GB: 2,699 yuan (about 349 euros to change)

  • iQOO Neo 5 12GB / 256GB: 2,999 yuan (about 388 euros to change)
