We won’t get it from Doom this year
Pete Hines stated in an interview that the game is not yet ready for public presentation.
After ten years, the new one finally gave a real sign of life yesterday Doom, at least for those lucky enough to be admitted to QuakeCon’s private presentation. Unfortunately, the videos presented to them did not leak, so we can only rely on the information that the participants shared on the World Wide Web. And unfortunately, it seems to remain so even for long, long months. An employee of PC Gamer magazine got Bethesda’s head of marketing, Pete Hines, at the microphone, who said the game wasn’t ready for public presentation yet, so they handled the presentation in a strictly closed framework. Of course, the question immediately came when, but we did not receive a happy answer. We can expect the public unveiling in 2015 at the earliest. He also said that the private demonstration was also needed for more formal reasons: without another QuakeCon Doom, he would have certainly slammed the fuse on many. It would have been premature to unveil the game now, as there was still a long way to go before it was released, which would only have increased the usual hype at that time. At the same time, they wanted to signal to fans that the project is indeed alive, and id Software is still a great game-making studio.
