Wear Mini launcher is updated to version 2.0 with greater customization and simplicity
Android Wear has been designed by Google to contribute to the greatest possible simplicity within an operating system, at least in what has been seen so far. With gestures From left to right and from top to bottom we move between small cards with just the right information necessary to decide what to do with them.
However, at the time of access applications available in our Android Wear terminal, we had to go through the “drink” of searching one by one for the command that could be activated for that application. With the launch of Wear Mini Launcher, smartwatches have a much more Android-style alternative for smartphones with a double-column list of all those installed applications that we can access directly.
Well, today the developer of this application has decided to launch its version 2.0 in Beta application format on Google Play to publicize the new changes that during this short period of time it has been able to elaborate.
Thus, between improvements There is the possibility of choosing in which margin of the screen we want the launcher to be activated, either in the upper or lower corners or from the central margin of the screen. The Google Now-style movement between cards is done through a scroll that starts on the card itself, not from outside the screen, so we won’t have problems confusing one or the other movement.
We can also regulate the volume of our wearable in a simpler way with new toggles that will also incorporate the possibility of deactivating the Wi-Fi network consumption. The overall experience has been improved with smoother and more fluid transitions.
Perhaps it is not the application that best meets what Google had proposed with Android Wear, that is, forget about the application box, the installation of these and other more difficult tasks that are not comfortable to perform on such a small screen. However, this launcher currently only offers gestures and settings that are very useful as well as easy to perform, thus moving away from more complicated tasks such as browsing the internet on a smartwatch.
To download this new version in the Beta phase, you must join its Google+ community and activate your subscription to the Beta version of the application on Google Play from there.
