Today in Mönchengladbach, ZTE not only announced a collaboration with the German Bundesliga club Borussia Mönchengladbach, but also officially presented the Blade V7 and Blade V7 Lite smartphones. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer and Borussia Mönchengladbach signed a partnership agreement for a period of two years. ZTE becomes one of the foals’ many co-sponsors.
The ZTE Blade V7 and the ZTE Blade V7 Lite were also presented at the press conference.
The Blade V7 is powered by an MT6753 Octa-Core from MediaTek, has 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of ROM. In addition, the V7 has a 13 megapixel and a 5 megapixel front camera. There is also a 5.2-inch full HD display on the front.
The Blade V7 Lite surprisingly has a fingerprint sensor that unlocks the device within 0.3 seconds. At the same time, a single app can be assigned to each finger for quick start. The MTK6735P Quad Core, which is also a MediaTek SOC and clocks at 1 GHz, works in the Lite. With 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of ROM, a 720p display, the same 13 megapixel camera from the V7 and an 8 megapixel front camera with flash, ZTE would like to appeal to selfie fans on a budget.
Both devices run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and can be expanded by up to 32 GB of memory thanks to the microSD slot. The ZTE Blade V7 will be available from June at an RRP including VAT of 249 euros. The ZTE Blade V7 Lite is also available in stores with an MSRP including VAT of 169 euros.
