Lufthansa now has 50 aircraft with internet access for overseas passengers. All of this has been achieved with the help of Boeing Connexion, and I want to extend the opportunity to the entire overseas network – more than 80 aircraft – by the end of next year. And from January 23, there will be a new service for passengers: they will be able to watch four television channels on board – BBC World, CNBC, Euronews and MSNBC, which vary by region. From January 31, Connexion will have better rates, unlimited high-speed internet access will cost $ 9.95 per hour, and $ 26.95 will provide 24-hour access – the latter tariff will also apply to transfers. The system is used wirelessly over a WLAN.
