Ninja, Nickmercs and many others are brawling in Knockout City

beats and Electronic Arts Inc. today announced the “Beats Studio Buds Bash”, a brand new live event featuring the hottest international game streamers. This Friday, June 25 at 7:00 PM CEST, Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, Nickmercs and many others on Twitch will take on the battle in Knockout City, the new dodgeball-inspired team-based multiplayer game. In addition to Ninja and Nickmercs, CouRageJD, Fuslie, FaZe Swagg, Sykkuno, Sydeon and QuarterJade will also star as team captains. Captains recruit players and form Crews to take out rival teams until one team is crowned the best.

During the virtual dodgeball tournament, Beats and EA are organizing a big giveaway for fans. Viewers can sign up to win free product and game keys during the event, including the chance to win Beats Studio Buds: the brand’s new wireless earphones (available June 24 on Apple.com). Beats is also giving away thousands of subscriptions to Twitch to participating streamers and community members on the day, while EA is also giving away an additional 5,000 game keys so viewers can download Knockout City for free.

Developed by Velan Studios, Knockout City is released in May 2021 and challenges dodgerawlers in a dynamic gaming experience with a unique style. Players will brawl through six action-packed multiplayer maps using six unique ball types to take out their opponents. They can even curl up into a ball and become their own weapon thrown by team members. With cross-play and cross-progression, up to 32 friends can team up across platforms to form Crews, and even switch between platforms while keeping progress intact to take out rival Crews. Knockout City is playable for everyone via a free trial. Players who decide to purchase the full game can do so for $19.99 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC via the beta of the EA Desktop app and Origin, Steam, the Epic Games Store and the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X|S via backwards compatibility. The game is also included for free for EA Play and Xbox Games Pass Ultimate members.
